It is endemic to Madagascar, officially known only from w:fr:Réserve Spéciale d’Anjanaharibe-Sud and unofficially from other areas including Marojejy National Park.Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, and rivers.
