Natatorial animals are those adapted for swimming. Some fish use their pectoral fins as the primary means of locomotion, sometimes termed labriform swimming. Marine mammals oscillate their body in an up-and-down direction. Other animals, e.g. penguins, diving ducks, move underwater in a manner that has been termed "aquatic flying".
