Havanese dogs have quite small, even miniature sizes, short limbs, even shorter than average, in relation to the whole body, and a straight graceful back. A round skull with a small, slightly elongated muzzle. Big round dark eyes with an interesting and intelligent look immediately attract attention. The ears of these dogs are also short, set high, and should hang down. The tail is short, and twisted, and lies on the back. Havanese dogs have long curly hair all over their body, the color can be pure white, fawn, cream, black, brown, reddish-brown, blue, and bi-color variants of these colors.

Representatives of this breed have a very ancient history, so much so that their ancestors were even mentioned in the works of Aristotle. By the way, opinions about the origin of Havanese dogs are scattered, some people say that their ancestors were born in Malta, and others guess that in Tenerife. Be that as it may, the breed received its final development in Cuba. There, these dogs became very popular with aristocrats and nobles. Due to the revolution, the breed began to die out, but they began to restore it only in 1970, when there were only 11 dogs left in the world. Havanese dogs received official recognition in 1996 and have significantly increased their population over the past 25 years.

Havanese dogs are suitable even for lazy people because only 20 minutes will be enough in the fresh air. These dogs are very good with children, as with other pets, but it is better to introduce them from an early age. Also, you should not leave them for a long time, because Havanese dogs will start to get very sad and whine.

If you want to feed your pet with natural products, then the diet must contain meat, meat products, vegetables, fruits, and fermented milk products. Also, don't forget about natural treats. Also, always make sure that the Havanese dogs have water.

Havanese dogs can easily be used both in a house and in an apartment, the main thing is that the owner is always nearby, so they are not suitable for life on the street. In order for the coat to always be silky and shiny, it should be combed regularly, and the dog should be bathed several times a week with special shampoos. Dogs' eyes should be wiped daily with a wet cotton pad, and ears treated several times a week with a special lotion. It is very important to trim their nails three times a month, and these little dogs need to brush your dog's teeth with special treats or toothpaste three times a week.
