Conilurus capricornensis commonly known as Capricorn rabbit rat is an extinct species of rabbit rat (Conilurus ). It was described as a new species in 2010 and is only known by Pleistocene and Holocene dental remains. The species' epithet refers to the Capricorn Caves, Queensland, Australia, where the remains of the species were unearthed.
