The Cornish Rex is an elegant medium-sized cat. Its body is strong, slender, and set high on its feet. The hips are muscular, strong, and look more voluminous compared to the rest of the body. The limbs are long, thin, and straight. The paws are graceful, small, and slightly oval. The tail is long, thin, very flexible, tapering to the end, and completely covered with curled hair. The head is relatively small and pointed. The cheeks are flat and muscular. The whiskers and eyebrows are long and wavy. The ears are alert, mobile, upright, and high, large, wide at the base, with rounded tips. The eyes are almond-shaped and medium in size. The color of the eyes should match the color of the coat; they can be greenish-yellow, green, or yellow. The coat of the Cornish Rex is short, fine, relatively dense, very soft, and silky. It is only composed of guard hair and undercoat. The guard hair looks like down. The hair on the chin, chest, and belly is shorter. Cornish Rexes can come in a wide variety of coat colors and patterns.
