Origin

In 1988, Elena Krasnichenko, a breeder from the Thai Bobtail Cattery in Russia, developed the first known Toybob. The breed was created through genetic mutations with the goal of producing a small-sized cat with specific desired traits. The unique set of genes found in Toybob cats is not present in any other cat breeds, leading to characteristics that are uncommon in traditional cat breeds. In 2009, the Toybob was classified by The International Cat Association (TICA) as an 'Experimental' breed. In January 2017, the breed was granted 'Registration' status by TICA, enabling Toybobs to be registered without a guarantee of further advancement.

Common health issues
Toybob cats do indeed require a diet that is high in protein to support their energy levels and overall health. It's also important to ensure that the food they are receiving is balanced with the necessary nutrients to meet their specific needs. Additionally, providing fresh and clean water at all times is essential for their hydration and well-being.
Despite Toybob cats spending a lot of time daily grooming themselves, it is still important to help them maintain their coats in good condition. Brush your Toybob once or twice a week to enhance blood circulation and keep the coat smooth. Bathe your Toybob when it gets dirty, trim its nails when needed, and brush its teeth regularly to prevent dental diseases.
