The chestnut-sided shrike-vireo (Vireolanius melitophrys ) is a species of bird in the family Vireonidae. It is found in Guatemala and Mexico. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. With a length of 16.5 to 18 cm (6.5 to 7.1 in) and a mean body mass of 34.7 g (1.22 oz), this is probably the largest species of vireo.
